{"id":3638,"date":"2021-03-19T11:32:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-19T11:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hornchurchbells.co.uk\/main\/?p=3638"},"modified":"2021-03-21T21:49:02","modified_gmt":"2021-03-21T21:49:02","slug":"bell-ringers-say-goodbye-to-vicar-barry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hornchurchbells.co.uk\/main\/2021\/03\/19\/bell-ringers-say-goodbye-to-vicar-barry\/","title":{"rendered":"Bell Ringers Say Goodbye to Vicar Barry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Following bell practice on Tuesday 17<sup>th<\/sup> September 2019, Barry was invited to the tower for a farewell presentation and drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ringing Master Clive Stephenson thanked Barry for his valuable help and support over the past 12 years, particularly for the &#8216;new ninth bell\u2019 project in 2013-14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barry commented on the regular peal ringing that had taken place during his time as vicar and the peal for Barry &amp; Mary\u2019s wedding in August 2009 was recollected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barry also said that he had appreciated the good integration of the bell ringers within the church community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A farewell quarter peal was rung as a tribute to Barry on his last day of ministry at St Andrew\u2019s.
