On Sunday 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0June\u00a02024, St Andrew\u2019s bell ringer Tina Gornall\u00a0celebrated her 70th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday. Thiswas an opportunity for the bell ringers to mark the occasion by ringing a quarter peal for Tina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was also a chance for young bell ringer Carys Hayward\u00a0to attempt and succeed in ringing her first quarter peal. The changes were conducted by her mother Marianne and Carys effortlessly rang her bell for 45 minutes without stopping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carys\u2019 godfather, Jeremy, was also able to give his support, travelling all the way from\u00a0Kent\u00a0to take part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to Tina (aged 70) and\u00a0Carys (aged 14).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
